Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer delivers natural-looking colour gradually that lasts twice as long as the leading lotion sunless tanner. It infuses your skin with a blend of effective moisturizers, antioxidants and Vitamin E to keep it looking healthy. Simply moisturize your skin to keep a beautiful and natural glow. Available in two shades - Fair to Medium and Medium to Tan - to complement your unique skin tone. You'll reach your optimum intensity of colour after about one week of daily use.
For best results, use daily as your all-over body lotion. Allow several minutes to dry prior to dressing. Wash your hands after application. You will begin to see a subtle development of colour within several days. If colour change is not as noticeable as desired, apply more frequently.

Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer contains the same moisturizing ingredients found in many other Jergens® lotions (for example, glycerin, petrolatum and mineral oil). It also contains a colour-enhancing complex including dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, and erythrulose to subtly and gradually deepen your natural skin tone in a few days.

Is this an effective moisturizer?

Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer provides very effective skin hydration. It contains the same moisturizing ingredients found in many other Jergens® lotions (for example: glycerin, petrolatum and mineral oil).

What are the colour enhancing INGREDIENTS and how do they work?

This product contains Erythrulose and Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). Although DHA is found in common sunless tanners, Erythrulose is not. Erythrulose is typically used in prestigious department store brand facial sunless tanning products.
To provide more natural-looking skin colour than other sunless tanners, which typically contain only DHA, we used a combination of DHA and Erythrulose. And together, they subtly enhance and gradually deepen your natural skin colour.
Both ingredients are safe for consumers for topical use.

How long will the effect last?

If you stop using Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer, your skin colour will begin to fade in a few days and be completed faded after about two weeks.

Will I eventually have to change to a darker shade?

Some people have switched to a darker shade with good results after first using a light shade formula. To find the right formula, make sure you’re choosing your shade based on your natural skin tone or starting skin tone and the starting shade on the back of the package.

Will I get too dark? Will the colour be even?

After one week of daily use, your skin should be about one shade darker, and then to maintain your colour and an even skin tone, continue to use the product once a day or every other day. The product works by gradually darkening only the very top layers of your skin. Since the top layers of skin cells naturally exfoliate to expose new skin cells, your skin colour will naturally reach a plateau. Regular use will ensure evenness of skin colour. For best results, do not exfoliate more than once a week.

Why is it that the colour on my body always seems a bit different than the colour on my face? Was this factored into the formula creation?

The difference in colour is a result of a variety of factors. To start, facial skin can be thinner than body skin, can exfoliate at a different rate, and is exposed to difference environmental conditions than body skin. Because of this, the face products have been formulated with different skin-darkening complexes than the body products.

Can I use this every day? Can I jump to a darker shade for a quicker effect?

Yes, you can use the face and body moisturizers every day — a gradual, natural-looking colour will result after about 1 week of continued use. If desired, a darker formula can be tried, but the results may not be as natural looking.

Which formula should I choose?

Using the formula customized for your natural skin tone will ensure the most natural-looking colour. To find your natural skin tone, look at the inside (or underside) of your forearms, since these areas are not typically exposed to the sun.
Refer to the colour charts on the back of the packages and choose the one with a “STARTING POINT” colour that most closely matches your natural skin tone.
Another way to choose your formula is to refer to your favorite facial foundation colour.
If you typically use foundation colours that are fair to Medium (for example: Ivory, Porcelain, Beige), then choose the Fair to Medium Skin Tones formula.
If you typically use foundation colours that are medium or tan (for example: Tan, Caramel), then choose Medium to Tan Skin Tones formula.

Can I use it all over my body?

This product was designed for use on the body, but for a head-to-toe glow, our Jergens® natural GLOW Daily Facial Moisturizer with SFP 20 is the perfect complement.

How long should I wait before I get dressed or apply make-up?

After applying Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer, allow several minutes for it to dry prior to getting dressed or applying make-up. This will prevent any lotion from rubbing off on clothes and to ensure even coverage on the skin.

Can I use another moisturizer with this product?

You may mix-and-match Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer with any Jergens® products, for example,
Jergens® Ultra Care Moisturizer for your hands. If using two moisturizers at the same time, apply Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer first and allow it to dry completely.

How can I prevent my elbows and knees from becoming darker than the rest of my skin?

The skin on elbows and knees tend to be drier, with more layers of skin cells, and since the chemical reactions of skin darkening takes place in the surface layers of skin, the colour can concentrate in those areas. We can suggest that you use a light application on your elbows and knees or use
Jergens® Ultra Care Moisturizer first to smooth the skin.

Can I use different skin tone formulas for my body and face?

Yes, you may use different skin tone formulas for your body and face if you feel using different formulas will provide the best matches for the skin tones of your body and face. However, by using the same skin tone will most likely have the best results.

Can I use a sunscreen with this product?

Of course, just apply it after you use Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer. These products don’t contain sunscreen and they don’t protect against sunburn. You may also use Jergens® natural GLOW Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF to protect the delicate skin on your face. And remember that repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.

I am not seeing any skin colour change, am I doing something wrong?

Everyone’s colour development can be different. Try using a darker formula shade.

I seem to have an orange colour, what happened?

This is likely from overuse of the product - try using a lighter shade formula, applying a smaller amount or using it every other day instead of daily.

Should I wash my hands after I apply it? How do I remove stains from my skin?

You should wash your hands to prevent unwanted colour on your palms or potential stains on clothes. If have any unwanted colour on your skin, it will wear off in a few days or you can use a body or facial scrub.

There are no safety concerns besides those associated with typical lotions. All Jergens® natural GLOW Daily Moisturizers are intended for external use only. Avoid eye contact. If eye contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water. Do not apply to broken skin. This product does not contain sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeat exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.

Can I use this in a tanning bed?

We do not recommend using tanning beds in general. We did not test these products during tanning bed use so we recommend that you do not use them while using the bed.

I notice an odor on my skin from this product? What causes this?

As the moisturizer works to darken the skin, some people may develop an unfamiliar smell on their skin, which is a part of the skin darkening process. Some people said that it smells like they have spent a day at the beach, and their skin smells warm & toasty. The fragrance in Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing and Daily Facial Moisturizer masks the smell for many of the consumers we tested on, but unfortunately, the smell is different from person to person and for a small group of consumers, they still find the smell comes through the fragrance.

I am an African American with caramel tones. Will this even out my skin tone?

To even out caramel skin tones, try the Medium to Tan formulas for body and face.

Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer is available in two shades – FAIR to MEDIUM and MEDIUM to TAN – designed to work with your skin tone and help you achieve a natural-looking summer glow.

If you're unsure which shade is right for you, use the inside of your forearm as a guide and match your skin tone to the chart on the back of the product tube. Product shade decision should be based on your natural skin tone.

Smooth on evenly and thoroughly just as you would with any daily moisturizer.

Use sparingly on knuckles, knees, ankles and in between fingers and toes as these areas are dry and will absorb more of the product.

For a natural look on the back of hands and top of feet, gently feather the product toward fingers and toes.

Rinse excess residue from the palms of hands, between fingers and around nails.

Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizers provide superb daily moisturization, and as with any moisturizer, allow drying for several minutes before you dress.

Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizers work with your skin chemistry to deliver unique results. Allow 3 to 10 days for the colour to develop into a healthy summer glow.

Jergens® natural GLOW Revitalizing Daily Moisturizers do not contain SPF but can be used with your sunscreen, cosmetics and other moisturizers.

An off-colour tone may indicate that you are using too much of the product. Try using the product every 2 to 3 days instead of daily or switch to a lighter shade.

The formula darkens the top layers of your skin so daily use will deliver a natural, uniform colour and tone.

Skin colour will fade over time if you stop using the product regularly because of your body's natural skin exfoliation. Your skin tone will return to its natural state in about 2 weeks.
